In what ways does your family observe the Sabbath?

I am a cradle Catholic who was raised by a very devout mother. My father was not as dedicated but mom was and still is. Years ago I walked away from the church but not from Christ. Last year I returned.
My suggestion to you is to spend time in the scriptures. I read daily in The Magnificat which really helps. It is a daily devotional that not only offers the daily office, but it also covers the daily mass prayers and scripture. If you attend a parish that has the Blessed Sacrament, spend time there also. Ask Jesus to keep you close to Him. As His blessed mother to intercede for you with her divine son and savior. Try to participate in some way at your parish. I take the Eucharist to homebound which makes my walk a little easier.
It was hard for me to return because of the many changes, but this is where I belong. I tried to find Jesus in Protestant sects, but they cannot replace the mass. There is something missing.
Bless you and your endeavor to have a closer walk with Him. Invite Him in. He has promised that He will never leave us or forsake us. Take Him at His word.
