Humanly speaking, we need direction. My recommendation would be to investigate Catholic Churches in your area. Go to the Mass at various churches and listen to the sermons. Find a priest that you feel you can relate to and speak to him. Ask him questions regarding your faith and ask to keep it under the confessional seal as well.

Perhaps in this interchange of thought between you and he, you can once again find your faith and the reasons we believe what we believe. However, priests are human too. There are some that may ’turn you off’ from the Catholic faith. Please do not let a mere man do that to you.

Seek someone who is understanding, knowledgeable and compassionate.
