In what ways does your family observe the Sabbath?

Recently I read Wayne Muller’s book "Sabbath" and found it very spiritually enriching. I’m one of those part-time everything kind of persons: part-time work, part-time student, part-time homemaker, etc. and weekends are those times when I try to catch up on what was left hanging during the week. Since I read Muller’s book I have been trying to take Sabbath time daily. Sabbath time is rest; it is time for me to simply be. It is time away from work and obligations and busyness. It is also a time of gratitude to God for the abundant blessings in my life. I have found more balance and peace in my life. My advice to anyone who thinks they are too busy with life is to stop and take a breath and realize that if there is no rest, no Sabbath time, there is no balance to life.
