A couple of weeks ago I read the book "Sabbath" by Wayne Muller and found it to be a wealth of spiritual refreshment. I take Sabbath time several times a week, although I strive for daily this does not always happen. Sabbath time for me is alone time - time when I break away from routine, obligations, the busyness of life and just be. I have not incorporated any specific rituals as of yet but what I have found is that I am more peaceful since I have taken time out to rest.
