I discovered this site last Fall. At that time, my sister had talked to me about a difficult issue she was having with her daughter, my godchild. She was looking to me for some guidance. I was able to find the "catholic answer" to the question, but I could not figure out how to respond to her distress in a way that would be helpful. I sent an email to "Ask a Franciscan." I was so impressed to receive the guidance I needed in order to help my sister and godchild.
This positive experience with a priest has given me the courage to volunteer to be an RCIA sponsor. In the past I was held back because I was concerned that I would not know how to answer a question or concern. I know of the printed resources available, but
what has made the difference to me is knowing that a priest is available to answer my question within a real life context.
