I went to Reconciliation during Lent last year whn I started to cry...I had carried the burden of being an abused child for many years...Fr John was absolutely great!!! He was very compasionate and understanding....and for my ’penance’ said I needed to seek counseling......being an old Catholic school girl, how could I refuse to do what my parish priest had told me?!?! Just last night I went to my last counseling session...I feel so utterly free! Thanks to him for listening to my cries...and steering me in the right direction....
