How does praying the rosary draw you closer to God and others?

When I was a little person, I remember how peaceful and comforting it was to pray the rosary together with mom and my brothers and sister. I learned the meaning of praying the rosary this way. Then times changed and now I pray the rosary alone. I feel that comfort all over again and I feel it’s Him and Our Lady who are embracing me as I pray. It’s so peaceful.
