In my career I have had jusrisdiction over children of all ages and/or adults of all ages and differing responsibilities...as a Christian I feel God whould have me love His creation but not necessarily like each individual...just as God loves each of us He does not like what we chose to do or not do that is contrary to His word...to love is a choice we make whether it is in the realm of God’s creation or when we love our spouse, children, parents, friends, etc...I read once that ’love is like a violin, the music may stop now and then, but the strings remain forever’...and St. Augustine states ’God loves each of us as if there were only one of us’...how wonderful is that!! it is how a mother can love her many children, but more perfect still...that is the difference in liking and loving...
