my husband experienced much the same thing in one of the Catholic Churches near our home...but as I reminded him that priest is not the Church...he is a servant of the Church...just as we do not judge humanity based on the actions of a few, then we should not judge the church based on the action of a priest...my belief is in the teachings of the church not the priest...we have changed church and now attend a different Catholic church...the priest there is loving and very spiritual...he shows great joy in serving God and God’s people...we feel blessed...if the Baptist Church brings God closer to you then that is all that is important...may you have found the place where you will feel great joy in serving the Lord...God be with you wherever you are!
