My parish is small and country and our pastor is friendly and knows us all by name. Not in a thousand years would I ever want to join another parish. I can truly say our pastor knows us all very well and the state of our souls. I am the only member of my family so I can only give my personal comments. If I ever not show up for two weeks (because I went to a different church) he makes inquiries at my home wondering if something is wrong.
