This year it seemed that everyone was looking forward to Thanksgiving. It is like the shock of 09/11 just sinked in and we were so grateful to be with those we love and enjoy their company and good food. First of course was Thanksgiving Mass and then the celebration with family and friends. I see around me displaced families but at Thanksgiving everyone’s heart and thoughts turn to home. I get a warm feeling when I see the travelers on tv boarding planes to be with those they love. This keeps alive the hope in the family unit. This is the basis of a strong America.
