All throughout history, across all cultures we see storytelling as key in passing on our history, values and traditions. Our kids often recall "mom, do you remember when you told us about..." and go on to recount how a "story" (true event in our past) influenced them at a critcal moment/decision. I urge parents or other family membeers to use teachable moments, spare moments (eg. waiting in checkout line, traffic...) to pass on your stories. They REMEMBER !!
