I’d be uncomfortable sitting at dinner with someone who had the desire to get something out of the event besides the gift of the dinner.
An agenda. Someone who wanted to get to know the host better because he’s well off and might have something to offer that would provide a ladder to success and superiority over the rest of the guests.
