This reply illustrates the question within the context of a more encompassing metaphor. Regardless of our station in life, what we have and do not have in any denomination, it is, ultimately, our responsibility to use our richness and, more important, our poverty in the light of the altruism exemplified by Jesus Christ. This is the charge given by Him when He admonished us to Love each other as He has loved us. He answered Cain’s question: Am I my brother’s keeper? with the parable of the Good Sameritan. This is our answer to: Is it OK to be rich? The real question is: Are you OK being rich within the context of our Faith?
