todays minute meditation speaks of Francis of Assisi’s vow of poverty and describes it as "holy" poverty because he chose to be poor...

this seems to negate the fact that to be poor within itself because of circumstances not of personal choice is not necessarily the better side of ’not being rich’ so that heaven is more easily attained...
