Dear Juddy,
I agree with you for sure. St. Padre Pio said that Humility and charity are the queen of virtues. All the other virtues depend on them. He said that one is the lowest and the other the highest.He goes on to explain that the entire structure depends upon the foundation and the roof.
Pio says that if we keep our hearts directed in exercising these virtues we should have no problem in acquiring the other virtues. He also said that Charity is the queen of all the virtues...that all the other virtues are lost if charity is diminished. He states also that humility and charity are the mother of all virtues...that the others will follow them as chicks do their mother.
How blessed we are to have the saints for example, direction and inspiration.
