What virtues do you need to stand up for an unpopular issue?

I think that the cardinal virtues of Courage, Wisdom, Justice and Temperance are vital. If you really look at what it takes to stand up for an unpopular issue it seems to me that some measure of all of these is necessary- courage because it takes courage to go against the crowd, wisdom to know how best to address the issue, justice to be able to see all sides with fairness and temperance to avoid dogmatism or becoming unjust or foolish or worse in one’s defence of the issue.
