What virtues do you need to stand up for an unpopular issue?

Subject: virtues

I believe we need all the virtues to help us stand up to unpopular issues. I include the spiritual virtues, Faith, Hope and Charity. Also the human virtues of Prudence, Justice, Courage and Temperance.

The spiritual virtues help guide us to the right decision. We have faith that we follow the right path, hope that our stand can make a difference, and charity to open our hearts to love those with whom we disagree.

The human virtues can help us to achieve our goal. To have the courage to fight for what is right, to fight justly, and to fight without hurting others.

If we lack any of the virtues, our stand on an unpopular issue may become unbalanced. We risk becoming evil ourselves by sinking into the cardinal sins. (pride, greed, envy, wrath, lust, gluttony, sloth)
