Yes, forgiveness does not mean condoning or accepting. It also does not mean that a relationship with the person or persons forgiven must continue. I have learned that. I have an uncle who continued to hurt people in our family and although he was forgiven he continued to do it. After many times of being stung by him, we learned that we had to distance ourselves from him. HOwever, we can still forgive him. Does anyone have experience of advice regarding this?
