Just think if you hadn’t been there to comfort him. And think of how you may never know how much you helped him. I remember hearing a story of a famous musician who was addicted to every drug on the planet. When he was in re-hab he was in so much pain he couldn’t stand, eat or sleep for weeks on end. He wasn’t at all a religious man, but when a Priest had come to the hospital and asked if he could pray with him, he figured it couldn’t hurt any worse. As soon as the priest left he fell into a deep sleep and slept through the worst parts. He’s now totally sober and helping others in the same position. I bet that Priest never knew how much he helped...

I will say a prayer for your brother-in-law, that he is given the strength to get through this in Gods name. Also you will be in my prayers that God may bless you for your loving work...
