It makes me wonder what her parents had been teaching her, or how they might have been neglecting her. In any case, it’s a very sobering thing to consider - it isn’t necessarily what she did to deserve the fires of Hell, but what she didn’t do to be found worthy of Heaven. Entrance into Heaven must be just as difficult as Our Lord said it was, despite what some modern theologians believe. And if such is the case, secular values portrayed by a secular institution might just be shifting our focus away from what’s truly important.
