What values did you find in the film "Moonlight Mile"?

Maybe I missed the point all together but I thought Moonlight Mile was one of the worst films I ever saw. The characters were completely unbelievable and their response to the murder of their child, fiance were totally unrealistic. The funeral lunch was conducted like a joke. Susan Sarandon and Dustin Hoffman should have been ashamed to be in such a bad film.
