Does the military action the U.S. is contemplating against Iraq meet the standards of a just war?

Dear Adrian,

Just because the initial reports of the facility were inacurate (while there was still an investigation going on which has determined that this site was a training facililty for the use of those weapons) you still believe the word of a bloodthirsty tyrant over the US president. How sad.

What is amazing is your outrageous claim that: "Now we have a president who hired a number of people for his administration who were found guilty of crimes for the Iran-Contra scandal." Could you perhaps provide the name of a SINGLE person convicted of anything under the Iran-Contra silliness that has been hired as a member of the current administration? A single one....anyone at all.... Can you even tell me how many "convictions" Lawrence Walsh was able to scratch out of those trumped up charges? Yeah... I didn’t think so....
Can you even describe the tenets of the Boland Amendment?

Think about what you are intimating here... what on earth is the possible motivation for President Bush to go into Iraq in the face of all the (selfish) international opposition, the leftist talking heads in our media, and the aging baby-boomers nostalgically protesting the country they love to hate? Oil? Please. If that was the case, wouldn’t it have been easier to have continued the invasion back in 1991? Wouldn’t it have been easier to have turned a blind eye to the threat from WMD falling into the hands of terrorists and voted to lift the embargo? Or do you really believe President Bush and his staff are that twisted and conspiratorial?

What is astounding is the sinister portrait with which you describe Bush, contrasted with the airbrushed glossing over you provide of Saddam.

Dare you accept the challenge to use reasoning and facts to decide whom you should believe? Or will you simply follow the path of least intellectual resistence and swallow the agit-prop of the left? The choice is up to you.
