St. Francis of Assisi, Patron of Peace

Does the military action the U.S. is contemplating against Iraq meet the standards of a just war?

Tell that to Joan of Arc, and quite a few other saints who fought and died for what they believed in. They were very much in tune with what Jesus Christ taught!

You don’t seem to believe that Jesus also taught us that we are our brother’s keeper. Very necessary to help those who are oppressed in the world, such as the Iraqi people. But, your attitude seems to be that, so what? If they suffer under Saddam’s brutal regime . . . that’s just their problem and we shouldn’t get involved. Unlike you, I know we DO have a responsibility to help those who are less fortunate, even if it means using "physical force" to defend and liberate them from evil.
Satan should never be given free reign to go about the world as he pleases, as he has been doing for so long in Iraq.
