Does the military action the U.S. is contemplating against Iraq meet the standards of a just war?

Subject: Surprise! Surprise! And, speaking of swords . . .

Joseph, take out your Bible and turn to Luke, chapter 22, verses 36-38. You will find that after the Last Supper that Jesus tells his Apostles that they must be ready to defend themselves, and that if they didn’t have a sword, sell their clothes and buy one. " . . . And the man without a sword must sell his coat and buy one."

And, please don’t argue that we’re not defending ourselves. We most surely are defending not only ourselves (our country) but the country of innocent Iraqis who have been tyrannized by Hussein’s evil regime for far too long.

Bottom line, though, is that Jesus was not a pacifist wimp like so many want to portray him. He was a pretty tough guy!
