Does the military action the U.S. is contemplating against Iraq meet the standards of a just war?

The UN , like a bad parent, does not follow through with the rules it has placed on Iraq. And, if a child continues to disobey their parent and the parent continues to not do anything about it, do you think this child will respect the parent? Do you think that this parent should be the disciplinarian for this incorrigible child?

The UN does not rule the world. The US does not rule the world either. However, if you witnessed the celebrations in Najaf, I think the silent vote of the Iraqi people is starting to come through loud and clear.

As for the Pope, until there is an ’ex cathedra’ statement made on this issue, it’s still his opinion.

We earned that right when we linked $25,000 payments from Saddam to the 9/11 hijackers’ families. We earned that right when we realized that these same people were trained in Iraq on the same type of passenger planes. We earned that right when atrocities such as rape and murder of their own people are approved by this Iraqi regime. How many more years besides 12+ years do we stand aside and let the rape, murders and active support of terrorism against the US continue? If the UN would rather not address these issues, who else will. If they are sure that this same raping, toturing and murdering regime has chemical weapons, don’t you think we have a right to prevent them from using this in our own country?
