Does the military action the U.S. is contemplating against Iraq meet the standards of a just war?

Again Pat, my sincerest agreement. Although we disagree on whether or not the war is just, I hope that your statements will prove to others that your view, your perspective, is not anti-Catholic. Nor is it anti-American, and I appreciate your careful choice of words.

I still think the majority of the anti-war crowd are not in this for the right reasons: "war for oil" is a farce, "no war is ever just" is a sentiment that is proveably false, etc. But I don’t recall that you have ever stated such. Intellectual honesty can still lead people to different opinions, so I hope our differing viewpoint isn’t a stumbling block.

Anyway - God bless!
