Does the military action the U.S. is contemplating against Iraq meet the standards of a just war?
Date: 3/28/2003 6:23:38 PM Name or Pseudonym: Corinthian Subject: Have you read it?Yes the Constitution protects us but have you read it? Let me cite something from the Constitution for you: Congress shall make no law respecting an establishment of religion, OR prohibiting the free exercise thereof; OR abridging the freedom of speech, OR of the press; OR the right of the people PEACEABLY to assemble, and to petition the government for a redress of grievances. As with these and many other protestors disrupting the normal routine of a community and causing a commotion is not a right protected by our 1st amendment. This has nothing to due with the religious aspect it has to do with the executive branch of our government carrying out its laws and keeping order in our society. In any event this has not much to do about whether or not the war we have entered into is just. May God Bless |
