Does the military action the U.S. is contemplating against Iraq meet the standards of a just war?

Yes, Sadam is a dictator. We should try every effort to take him off the office. But military invasion is not one of the choices. It may be different if Iraq has a revolution and US supplies appropriate supports, but US has no right to militarily invade their land no matter how laudable the cause is. What do you expect to see? To see Iraqis kneeling to you, before their ruined cities, burning houses, and the corpse of their families, and welcome the American Army with tears in eyes "Oh you are our saviour from a Western heaven"? Do you really believe in that scene?

Sadam is raping the Iraqi poeple, but aren’t you raping their people too?

Please listen to the inspiring words of Pope, the Vicar of Christ. We Catholics believe that when Pope speaks of morals, he is guided by the Holy Spirit, not by any self-righteous, distorted conscience. Please do listen to him, and comtemplate what he is saying.
