Please show me the precedence for the feminine priesthood on Scripture as well. If I remember my scripture correctly, there is only mention of a deaconess. Sacred Scripture and Sacred Tradition do not allow this. I am quite interested in your assertions.
A positive change in the priesthood would be the complete eradication of homosexual activity within the priesthood. There should not be any sodomy within the priesthood. If they can be celibate, I have no problem. It is an abomination as stated in Exodus. Also, going back to the Tradition that allowed the Catholic priests to be married up until 1100 AD would be another positive change.
There were many women of Christs day that could have been considered qualified. However, Jesus chose twelve men, including one who was to betray him. Dont you think that any of the women who followed Jesus would have made a great Apostle? He even revealed himself to the women first. However, the Apostles were all men.
Tradition is quite important and its the fact that changes in Tradition have been allowed to appease the people that is destroying this Church. Gods Word should not be compromised to provide you with your golden calf. You should melt down your golden calf to appease the Triune God. May God forgive you for putting your selfish desires ahead of His Will as stated in Scripture and may He give you the Grace to listen to His Word and hear His voice.
And lastly, it is not a homosexual problem but a pedophilia problem. The statutory rape of boys and girls by men is a sickness and a crime. The only solution to this problem is to report it the first time that it happens to the civil authorities, get these men psychological help and remove them from active priestly duties immediately. It is a crime and should be treated as such whether their sin is forgiven or not.
Please go read your bible and ask your priest and/or investigate through scholarly books the proper interpretation of the Bible before you begin pontificating. |
