How can the Catholic Church in the U.S. heal from the sex-abuse crisis?

My problem with your comment is( the notion) that being "Catholic" is somehow more important than being Christian.
Didn’t Jesus say, "love your neighbor"? You make it sound as though He said --Love Only your Catholic neighbor-- and believe me, I know plenty of people who think like you!!
Muslims think they’re better than Jews, Catholics think they’re better than Protestants, and back and forth and so on and so on. Where does it end?
You say, "Christ did not come to earth to find many Churches"---If I remember correctly, Christ came to earth to bear witness to the Truth-- The Truth that His Heavenly Father loves all of His creations. At the time, Jews believed they were the only ones to be saved. It seems some Catholics today actually think they are.
