Contrary to what Angie forsees, I do not see the American Church breaking off from Rome. The ancient ties to the Papacy is what makes Catholics different from every Protestant sect. The sexual abuse "crisis" is less about sexual abuse then it is about the medias portrayal of it. LESS THEN ONE PERCENT OF ALL PRIEST HAVE BEEN ACCUSED OF A SEXUAL CRIME!!!! WAKE UP PEOPLE, THERE IS NO CRISIS! Anyone who even SUGGESTS that the American Church will break off from Rome should go back and do there grade 4 Catachism, because if you don’t know why we are loyal to Rome, you aren’t a Catholic.
