The Church’s problem with sex abuse does not come from pedophilia. Rather it is the result of the Church’s compromise with historic (Holy tradition) and biblical (the Holy Spirit)teachings against homosexuality. We as followers of Christ are called to be holy in every aspect of our lives. I know that, that is hard for us, but there are some lines that should never be crossed. I am refering to the sin of Homosexuality.

You can take ecumenicalism to far, and I believe that is the case here. The Church leadership is at fault for compromising with the sin of homosexuality. They should have followed there own documents from 1964 and not allowed any one with this problem into a place of intimacy in tending to the needs of the laity.

I am not advocating that we should start some sort of witch hunt to root these people out, because by doing so we will also tear out the wheat with the tares. But they cannot be allowed to be in the service to God and His church while still struggling with this sin. As should anybody who strugles on the loosing end with any sort of crippling sin.

We cannot let the whims and fashions of the secular world dictate how we as Christians and Catholics are to live, behave and believe. For with out us (the Church) practicing what we preach there is no hope of salvation for the rest of the world. That goes for everyone in it, lay people and clergy.

They media on the other hand is only interested in one thing. Ratings. If is is sensational they will cover it. How often do they relay the message of the Gospel that the Church today is bringing to the world? It most often appears that they look for us to fall, so that they can find a reason not to follow Christ. Remember those that despise the light look for those who love it to trip and fall so that they can feel better about themselves. I would be cautious when it comes to the media.
