When this information became public I was devastated. The thought of anyone abusing an innocent child is unbearable to me. The fact that others allowed this abuse, not only to go unpunished, but to continue, is not only appauling, but totally immoral and without concience! As a catholic, and more important, a human being, I find the actions of the bishops horrifying. To forgive is not to forfeit the punishment deserved the perpetrators and their protectors. Whom may I ask, protected those children? The corruption of the Catholic Church must end and all Catholics should insist upon this. My heart is heavy with sorrow, not only for the victims of such evil acts, but for the church, and our Pope. I pray that all who have conspired to harm our children are brought to justice, and that our Pope and his council realize the hour of judgement is here. The very exist of the church depends on their actions or inactions.
