The present Pope is a good old fashioned ’hard line’ Catholic hypocrite. who can berate a priest in Central America, in publiic on an airport apron for getting involved in politics and overtly support the political upheavals in Poland(Ah, right wing politics is OK)then he can certainly espouse the ’suffer little children’ line in public while pulling a cover over the activities of the paedophile priests for the good of the church. Like too many Catholics (and, not to be ageist, it seems to be the older genearation)he sees attacks on the church everywhere and will not acknowledge that some attacks are justified so all must be denied. It’s a sad state of affairs. Abusers should be in jail and so should their controllers. If the MD of Enron is responsible for the activities of his minions then this Pope is equally culpable.
I expect Emails in return so I should like to point out that I am a practising Catholic, a father of four who has one son who is an altar boy. I’m not anti-Church I’m anti hypocrisy, anti dogma anti cover up.
