How can the Catholic Church in the U.S. heal from the sex-abuse crisis?

Subject: Bishop’s Responsibility

A life long Catholic, I am discouraged and revolted by the continuing presence of Bernard Law in the heirarchy of the U.S. Church.

When will the Bishop’s conference wake up to the fact that their tacit support of Law continues the cancer within our church.

Law has, by any legal defination, knowingly abetted criminals and their activities. His cover-up of their activities shows his complicity and brands him as a criminal.

Pray brothers and sisters that the Holy Spirit will bring forth someone with intestinal fortitude within the Bishops Conference who will bring about the ouster of this vile man.

Forgiveness, in my understanding, requires a firm intention to sin no more. Law’s actions speaks far louder than his "pious" words. Avoidance of the occasions of sin for this man REQUIRE him to resign immediately!
