This whole church mess has made us a laughing stock of television comedy. Jay Leno cracks a joke at Catholic expense nightly (he is Catholic himself), the press is having a field day and our bishops continue to act like fools. The bishops are so worried about showing a good image, while the image has already been tainted and broken. Now is the time to face reality, make a new committment to the Roman Catholic congregations that any priest found guilty is out. One time out. Priests should be fingerprinted before working with children the same as school personnel. A criminal check should also be done on them. It is a sorry world we have come to that we cannot trust a priest with a child. My main argument is with the bishops that have had this behavior with pediophile priest continue with their coverups. There will be many mitres in hell.
