A tropical paradise becomes a torture chamber for a group of (mostly) American tourists (including Josh Duhamel, Beau Garrett, Melissa George and Olivia Wilde) marooned in Brazil when they're tricked into hiking to a remote jungle cabin where they're held captive by a "gringo"-hating doctor (Miguel Lunardi) who wants to harvest their internal organs. Murky and only mildly suspenseful, director John Stockwell's grisly Third World revenge fantasy is an empty exercise in exploitative sex and sadism held together by a formulaic plot skimpier than the bikinis that dominate the female wardrobe. Intense and gratuitous violence, including a graphic surgical procedure with nudity, reckless drinking, drug content and references, an implied sexual encounter with partial nudity, suggestive dancing, sensual images, obscene graffiti, some sexual humor, as well as much rough and crude language and some profanity. The USCCB Office for Film & Broadcasting classification is O -- morally offensive. The Motion Picture Association of America rating is R -- restricted. Under 17 requires accompanying parent or adult guardian.
