Twenty-fifth Hour
By
Source: Catholic News Service
Gritty urban parable charting the final 24 hours of freedom of a convicted New York drug dealer (Edward Norton) struggling to redeem his life and mend tattered personal relations. Directed by Spike Lee and based on David Benioff's novel, the engaging drama offers solid ensemble performances and a strong message about taking responsibility for one's own actions. Sporadic violence, a character's angry anti-Catholic remarks, crude sexual references and situations, and recurring rough language and profanities. The U.S. Conference of Catholic Bishops classification is A-IV -- adults, with reservations. The Motion Picture Association of America rating is R -- restricted.
