Serving Sara
By
Source: Catholic News Service
Routine romantic comedy in which a process server (Matthew Perry) is convinced by a good-looking woman (Elizabeth Hurley) to serve her Texas tycoon husband (Bruce Campbell) with divorce papers before he can serve her so that she can get a bigger portion of the marital funds. Low on laughs, director Reginald Hudlin's road trip film has crater-sized plot holes and limps along tediously. Sporadic comically intended violence, a gross-out scene involving the sexual stimulation of a bull and much crass language and crude sexual innuendos with some profanity. The U.S. Conference of Catholic Bishops classification is A-III -- adults. The Motion Picture Association of America rating is PG-13 -- parents are strongly cautioned. Some material may be inappropriate for children under 13.
