Celebrating Sainthood
Sainthood is one of the most fascinating dimensions of Catholic life
and identity. This month, we here at American Catholic Radio are celebrating sainthood.
It’s the time for Franciscans to mark the feast of St. Francis of Assisi, and
so we’ll have some features devoted to him. Producer Judy Zarick will talk with lay
Franciscan Domenick Morda, who is helping to bring the story of Sts. Francis and Clare
to life on a new DVD program. Father Michael Crosby is a Capuchin Franciscan committed
to preaching about Christ and sharing a Franciscan vision of the gospel. He’ll tell
the story of Franciscan Father Solanus Casey, a holy friar whose cause for sainthood is
in process. Producer John Feister will bring us the story of an American sister, Mother
Theodore Guérin. She’s being canonized this month. He’ll visit with
Sister Marie Kevin Tighe, vice postulator and promoter of the cause for Mother Guérin.
Holiness is contagious! Help us share these saintly stories with your
listeners via American Catholic Radio.
We’ll keeping working to keep your listeners current
and inspired!
