Upcoming Programs
Evangelization and Respect Life Month
Producer John Feister and I attended the North American Institute
for Catholic Evangelization, held here in Cincinnati in August. The theme was “Evangelizing
God’s People in a Culture of Diversity,” and the five-day event featured a
number of challenging presenters from a variety of cultural backgrounds. We will share
our experiences with your listeners. John interviewed Bishop Gustavo García-Siller,
an auxiliary bishop of Chicago, who preached with great passion about our mission to spread
the person and message of Jesus. Producer Judy Zarick spoke with an Institute attendee,
pediatrician Philomena Dias, about working with African Americans and Hispanics through
her parish in Indianapolis.
Keeping up with current events also feeds our radio ministry. This
past year has seen the debate over the use of embryonic stem cells continue as Congress
considered legislation that would fund stem-cell research. John will bring you a conversation
with Richard Doerflinger, the USCCB Deputy Director of the Secretariat for Pro-life Activities.
As we celebrate Respect Life Month in our Church, Dr. Doerflinger’s presentation
is timely information on an important issue.
We’ll keeping working to keep your listeners current
and inspired!
