Upcoming Programs
Mary’s Month
My standard intro to American Catholic Radio bills it as “a weekly program designed to help you know your faith, so you can grow in your faith.”  Faith, I’ve found throughout my Christian life and ministry, needs space to grow. In our culture, we have so much that tempts us to clutter up our lives. This month, author Susan K. Rowland shares with us some time- and experience-tested methods to help unclutter our lives, and most importantly, our spirits.
In addition to radio ministry, some of us here at St. Anthony Messenger Press also produce video programs, and currently our crew is working with Sister Janet Gildea, a Sister of Charity and a physician. She ministers in El Paso, Texas, to people on both sides of the border, where people seek a chance to build a future for their families. Sister Janet will visit our “Living Faith” segment
May is Mary’s month—reminding me of childhood devotions like May Crowning and putting up a homemade shrine in my house with a statue of Our Lady and fresh flowers. And along with those devotions, May is a time to highlight the prayer so many Catholics treasure, the rosary. The rosary forms the focus of ACR program 7-20. In the “Living Faith” segment, Dolores Campbell will talk about the importance of the rosary in raising her 13 children. Two of her sons, twins, were ordained priests last year. In “Exploring Our Faith,” author Beth Mahoney will tell us about the Rosary Bowl, a prayer event taking place this month in Pasadena, California.
Help your listeners celebrate Mary’s month on American Catholic Radio.
