St. Anthony Messenger first appeared in print in 1893. Throughout its century-plus of continuous publication we have been addressing the religious and spiritual concerns of Catholic families and readers while applying Catholic teaching to the problems and situations we meet in everyday life. Our Franciscan forefathers, Saints Francis of Assisi and Anthony of Padua, took the gospel of Christ into the marketplace to meet people where they were.
