All creatures GREAT and small are welcome. We'll meet under the oaks on Cameron Mills Road. Our pastor will individually bless your pet. Pets are able to express Christ's unconditional love sometimes better than we can. Come experience this spiritual event with your adoring pets. You will receive a certificate bearing your pet's name signed by the pastor. Free water and dog treats will be available. Sometimes our event is covered by the press with photos in the local papers. We look forward to welcoming you to our friendly church. Grace, peace and all God's blessings to you and your pets.

Blessing takes place in the Gathering Place (amphitheater located behind the church). Our own Rev. Dr. Ellen Hanckel will be the celebrant and our Sunday School children will host and provide lemonade, water, and cat and dog treats. Water also will be provided for any of our thirsty guests of honor. All dogs, cats, guinea pigs, rabbits, horses, goats, fish, birds and amphibians are welcome to attend with their people. All pets must be in cages or leashed. If your pet has another engagement that day bring pictures, stuffed animals, drawings, etc. that represent those pets to receive the blessing. Please be sure your pets have their IDs with them in the event of an escape. This event is open to the entire community. Parking is available at our parish house located to the left of the church, on the street, and across the street at the Blue Ridge Public Library. All donations will be given to the SPCA of Martinsville/Henry County, so please give generously.
