We are called to be faithful stewards of God's creation every day. The annual observance of Earth Day reminds us of that responsibility to use the goods of the earth with care. The arrival of the wondrous season of Spring also presents us with an opportunity to resolve to make peace with the earth in our daily lives. We can become activists for ecological justice through letter-writing campaigns; participate in creation-oriented liturgies and prayer services; educate ourselves through environmental study groups; resolve to honor nature through recycling, composting, organic gardening.
